Kid Approved Belly Booster Drink

Do your kids come home from school starving? If so, consider trying my quick filling drink. My kids love it so much and think they are getting a special treat, which in fact is naturally sweetened with no added sugar.

Kefir is the base of this drink. If you haven’t heard of it, it is basically a drinkable yogurt. The added benefit is it is fermented and full of amazing properties to help your gut thrive.

You could really use any frozen fruit variety you want, but my boys always love blueberry. I do think frozen fruit works better than fresh because it makes it a thick milkshake / ice cream consistency that is good and refreshing but fresh would taste great too.

 

Belly Booster Drink

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unflavored plain kefir
  • 1 cup greens
  • 1/2 cup frozen berries

Instructions
 

  • Use an immersion hand blender to mix and smooth the consistency. 

Notes

If your kids are used to really sweet stuff, you can always add more fruit. It is always better to add your own fruit to plain yogurt / kefir than to buy pre-flavored.
