I always see people do these - “hey lots of new I always see people do these - “hey lots of new faces around here, let me reintroduce myself” posts and I don’t know why but they feel weird to me…..
⁣
But here I am going to do one, because it is true - lots of new faces around here😀.
⁣
◾️I am a momma to three boys and sometimes question if I know what I am doing or how I am going to survive with three boys. I try to take it take by day and am doing the best I can.
⁣
◾️My love language (yes, its not really one but I made it one), is feeding my family nourishing meals. I take immense pride in feeding them healthy meals and more importantly teaching them how to be healthy, so they can do it when they are on their own one day.
⁣
◾️I was originally trained as a pediatric nurse in the conventional health care world, although I think I always knew that wasn’t my life’s purpose.
⁣
◾️My oldest son’s own health issues when he was 1.5 years old helped me find my focus and true calling. (He is now 7 and thriving!)
⁣
◾️I now help mostly women (although some men and kids too) optimize their gut health through functional nutrition, environmental toxin reduction and lifestyle support.
⁣
◾️I offer two digital courses: Gut Health Reboot and Well Belly Nourishment and take a limited number of 1:1 clients.
⁣
◾️My own personal journey has been over a decade long, so I constantly remind my clients a few things
🔹Its the small things you do daily that make the greatest impact
🔹It’s a journey and you have to start somewhere
🔹Knowledge is power
🔹Every positive change you make will improve your life
⁣
I want to encourage you to embrace wellness and the possibilities of living your BEST life!
⁣
Confession - I don’t like social media from a business perspective. I hate the politics and games and just want to help people, but sadly it can’t be just that. But here I am, for YOU!
⁣
Drop me a comment and tell me a little bit about you.

I don’t know about you, but I am ready to get back to my default way of eating.

⁣
With that said I have had more “fun foods” the last few weeks.

I find myself snacking more, craving sweets and not making the best choices.
⁣
I am grateful to have learned to listen to my body. I know when it is too much. I know when I need to refocus.
⁣
So what does that look like for me?
⁣
I fall back to my foundation for a perfect plate of food.

✔️Tons and tons of fiber rich veggies
✔️Quality fat
✔️Quality protein
✔️Lots of ferments
⁣
Eating this way makes me feel my best!

Kids snacks on the go! ⁣ Yes, fresh fruit is bes Kids snacks on the go!
⁣
Yes, fresh fruit is best, but sometimes it is fun to have packaged stuff, without comprising nutrition and health.
⁣
There are a lot of great upgraded options for dried fruit snacks, bars, strips / leathers and roll ups.
⁣
We have loved That’s It bars for a while and now they offer mini sizes and Santa brought all the boys Solely jerky this year.
⁣
Its crazy to me the amount of kids products that still contain artificial coloring, flavors, tons of added sugar and chemicals.
⁣
I wish you could just trust that products are okay, especially for our littles, but a goal I might encourage for you in the new year is start to familiarize yourself with the ingredients on packaged products.
⁣
Goal: opt for just one ingredient, the fruit. Organic is ideal, especially if on the Dirty Dozen list.
⁣
One note of caution, dried fruit is a rush of sugar, even if the ingredient is just the fruit and nothing else.
⁣
To help balance blood sugar and keep your kiddos full and feeling great, pair it with a good quality protein or fat. Two of our favorites are @paleovalley meat sticks or a handful of nuts.
⁣
Bonus - both of these options you can get at Costco!
⁣
**For those concerned about the use of non-organic apples in That’s It (apples are on the dirty dozen), this is what they had to say. “That’s it farms practice organic farming and 20% of our farms are still awaiting certification, which is a lengthy process. To avoid confusion for our consumers, we will add the organic certification on our packaging when all of our farms become 100% organic certified in the near future.”
