I love smoothies! I prep them the night before by putting everything in the blender, so I know I am set and ready to go in the morning with a nourishing smoothie. Mornings are chaotic around our house and I know I have breakfast ready and can bring it on the go with me, if needed.
Weekends in theory are for a slowed down pace right? Hot summer weekends are made for smoothie bowls. Smoothie bowls can take a bit more time, if you choose to get fancy with the toppings but they are fun to eat. My boys love to sit out on our back deck and eat a yummy smoothie bowl topped with fresh fruit and sugar free granola, with the sun shinning on them!
Today I am sharing my Get Your Greens Smoothie bowl, which you can make thick and creamy like ice cream!

We often switch up what goes in our smoothie and smoothie bowls and don’t usually measure but I do have a guideline for you to help with measurements and ideas of ingredients you could add to make sure your smoothie has all the right components to keep your full and satisfied. Plus, a list of different add ins and reasons you may want to consider including them such as hormone balancing, anti-inflammation, allergy symptom management, etc. The main key with a smoothie bowl vs. a drinkable smoothie is the amount of liquid. You also need to give your blender a bit more love and attention with a smoothie bowl (because there isn’t as much liquid to help it blend easily).
